Students/children are encourage to ask questions & be engaged-that is how we know they are learning. We call this 'teaching moments that are caught" We do not require a student to sit on a chair at a desk, we have come to know that creative children need the freedom to move around. Is this a drop off or do parents stay? Our classes are in our home and have a family vibe. We have an open door policy during the first 5-10 min of class start, then we get into the fun... Parents/Guardians have the option of dropping off kiddos and for a break or can pop in anytime with the caveat that visits don't interrupt the flow of the class... We have a max of 6 students in each class + 2 teachers in a fairly small area. This makes it a bit challenging when we add parents and student siblings.
